Quintin Rugby was matched against Belsize Park 4ths on an overcast but fine Saturday morning at the fortress of Kings House School. The squadron was raring to go with a packed out bench of 24 amateur footy players fizzing at the bung to give the opposition one for. The game started out in Quintin‘s favour, scoring two tries after 20 minutes in relatively quick succession. Belsize Park answered just before half time scoring a try off the back of a lineout while the Quintin defence switched off. Quintin really took it to the opposition in the start of the 2nd half scoring from some individual brilliance and silky hands. It was tik for tat in the middle 20 minutes of the second half until Quintin pulled away after some fantastic pieces of individual brilliance from Sexy Maxy and Will Carter to finish the game.
Overall Quintin showed some fantastic form and may have managed set a record for the most amount of penalties without a yellow card. The boys dug deep and look in the driving seat to secure a home semi-final on the 1st of April. Standout players included Will Carter through his stalwart experience of the game, Slade with his fanatic displays of pace and game knowledge, Cam Elers with big man on man tackles and player of the day Joe Ennifer showing his massive ticker to make meters. The boys enjoyed a few quiet afterwards especially some fantastic attributes from a certain fresh 21 year old who was very, very good at drinking his somewhat spicey yard.
Successfully remaining undefeated at home this season, the boys will next be travelling to West London RFC next week for an absolute doozy of a match. Get there or be square.
Tries from J. Ennifer, S. Siameja, T. Stott, W. Carter, M. Tyler, J. Lee
