18/19 Kick-Off

The start to the 18/19 season is just around the corner so it's time to get serious, all the important information to get started on the right foot is in the post below.

It's back.

The #1 Goal this season is to win the league outright and be promoted to Div 2. We would have achieved this last season but for a slow start with low player numbers over the first 4 games. LET’S NOT MAKE THE SAME MISTAKE AGAIN!

Season subs have been set at £85 which will include a pair of Quintin trackpants (Martin will send through the size guide). Season subs are due before 15th September to the Club account using Subs YOUR NAME as the reference:

Sort Code: 560023

Account #: 46981888

Match fees remain the same at £10 per game.

You can download the 18/19 fixtures and add them to your calendar using the following link: https://calendar.google.com/calendar/ical/c05mhvpb35bf5dhrfafgrqfjhg%40group.calendar.google.com/public/basic.ics

We’ll continue to use Pitchero again this season as the main communication for availability. The full fixture schedule is uploaded so please enter any unavailable weekends you’re aware of as soon as you know and please set your availability for the 8th and 15th of September NOW.

Training will be weekly on Thursdays at Kings House Sports Grounds 3G pitch between 7:30 – 9:00 - however this is only available from October 4th. We will communicate the venue for the training each week.

The new Club Website is 90% done and is already up and running – check it out at www.quintinrugby.co.uk for weekly match reports, photos and other important information.

Club Men – as everyone is aware we are a players club and there is lots of work to be done both on game-day and behind the scenes. A few of you have already unofficially expressed an interest in playing a larger role than just as a player so please contact me directly if you would like to increase your involvement and assist in building a stronger club. Some initial roles are:

a. Leadership Group – to formulate the Quintin game plan and overall Club Culture, share your rugby knowledge through leading training sessions and assisting with game-day duties.

b. Webmaster – the leg-work for the new website is primarily done but there is still some information to be transferred and in general the more contributors - the better, we can have as many as are willing. We need photos, record keepers, write-ups and any weird and wild thing you want to add.

c. Any other role that you think can bring value to the club!

The End-of-Season Tour is already confirmed to Sofia, Bulgaria on the weekend of Friday May 10th to 13th. The total cost will be kept under £300 with a £100 deposit so we can purchase flights as early as possible to hopefully make it even cheaper.

Recruitment we have some potential newbies already but with over +50 different players taking to the field last season we know we can never have too many – make sure you keep hassling that ex-player, workmate, gym buddy or anyone that looks like they can knock someone over and get them down to don the red and green!
